Building Binh Duong people with cultural norms to contributing to educating and training people about their personality and lifestyles toward the true, the good and the beautiful... That is the objective of Binh Duong province in the implementation of the 11th Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the Central Committee on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country". After 3 years of implementation, Binh Duong has met general requirements of the Resolution.
Human development is comprehensive
At schools from pre-school to universities in the province, there are many slogans of moral, lifestyle and personality education for students. These slogans have helped students recognize their role and responsibilities. It is also one form of provincial education and training sector to implement the program of Provincial Party Committee and Resolution 33.
Binh Duong University organizes a trip to return to the root for students at Phu Loi Prison to educate ethics and national history.
According to Pham Anh Dung, Deputy Head of Politics, Ideology and Legislation Office under Provincial Education and Training Department, human education is the most serious responsibility of provincial education and training sector in raising morals, lifestyles, traditions, history, and culture for the future generation. The sector has been implementing the project "Strengthening education of revolutionary ideal, ethics, lifestyle for teenagers and children in 2015-2020 period”. With the goal that all students have good ethics, are good and polite, 100% of educational units and institutions implemented code of conduct in agencies and schools; 100% of students are aware of and participated in charity, community-based activities, collective labor activities.
In recent years, provincial Youth Union has also well implemented Resolution No. 33 in education of ethics, lifestyle, working style, history. Education tasks were performed through seminars, talks, trips returning to the root, green trips, volunteer programs... These activities helped youth members train their morals and lifestyle. "To participate in historical competitions, or to visit historical relics, do charity works has taught me a lot about the old Binh Duong land," said Le Thi My Linh, a student of Binh Duong University.
In addition to train revolutionary spirit, national pride, all levels and branches in the province have also interested in health care, physical training for the younger generation through sports activities. Therefore, in recent years, the number of families, the number of people practicing sports has increased. Physical training movement is rising among cadres, workers, students, armed forces. Every year, the province organizes Olympic Run Day for people health; the movement "All people exercise their body following Uncle Ho example".
Diverse cultural activities
The effective implementation of Resolution No. 33 is also raising the level of cultural and spiritual enjoyment for the people. Tan Uyen town is an example for doing well this work. Dinh Quoc Phu, Head of Culture and Information Office of Tan Uyen town, said that in recent years, the town had ensured local economic development in parallel with the development of culture and society. In particular, the construction of cultural families was strictly implemented in accordance with regulations. The cultural and artistic movements, sports and physical training movements were held from the town to grassroots level, contributing to the preservation of national cultural identity. Thus, the movement to build and maintain hamlets, quarters, communes and wards in the area with significant achievements contributed to local socio-economic development, promoting the spirit of mutual affection, helping each other. By 2017, Tan Uyen town had 12/12 communes and wards ranked as advanced area; 6/6 communes met new rural construction standards; 4/6 wards met urban civilization standards. The rate of households attaining cultural family standards was 95.6%; cultural agencies, units, enterprises reached 93.63%.
Particularly, TDM City, apart from diverse recreation and entertainment activities for the people, the city also paid attention to invest and reserve lands for the construction of cultural institutions, sports playgrounds and green parks to establish a cultural life of the people. In 2017, the city built 30 new parks and flower gardens. The parks have an area of 100 - 300m2 with many trees and were equipped with benches and exercise equipment. In 2018, the city plans to build 36 new parks.
Not only improving human development or raising the level of cultural and spiritual enjoyment for the people, Binh Duong province has also actively enhanced the correction of the utilization of cultural activities to seek profit, causing insecurity and social disorder. Taking care of the spiritual life of people, comprehensive human development is to build, maintain and develop the values of an advanced culture, strong national identity, especially, to expand the movement "All people unite to build cultural life".
