This was one conclusion of Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of PPC, at the meeting held on August 4th on the work of ensuring traffic order and safety at intersections between roadway and railway.
According to Saigon Railway Administration Company, in the first 6 months of 2015, Binh Duong province had 3 railway accidents killing 2 persons, injuring 1 person (compared with 2 accidents in 2014). By June 30th 2015, intersections between roadway and railway in Binh Duong province consisted of 8 ones with guard, 2 ones with signs, and 2 illegal inhabitant paths. The 2 illegal inhabitant paths crossing railway will be very dangerous and a risk of railway accidents.
After listening to opinions of participants at the meeting, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem concluded: firstly, reviewing and arranging signs at intersections between roadway and railway to warn people; preventing and handling strictly railway pavement encroachment; enhancing propaganda of Law on Road Traffic, Railway; assigning guards at illegal inhabitant paths crossing railway; building pedestrian overpasses after handling illegal inhabitant paths…
