Businesses join hands to take care of workers’ lives on Tet

Thanks to receiving timely support from provincial People’s Committee, almost province-based businesses removed queries and stabilized their production and trading activities in 2010.  They also paid more attention to workers’ lives. On the 2011 Tet occasion, many businesses have made substantial activities to take care of workers’spiritual and material lives.

Many businesses have supported products with great value like TV sets, computers, fridges…to organize lucky draws for workers at year-end

Workers’ lives get more stable

Nguyen Van Khuong, vice-chairman of provincial Labor Union said that the lives of workers in the province last year became more stable compared to the previous year. Workers at province-based industrial parks enjoyed the average income of VND2.2mln per capita per month. Provincial Labor Union and many businesses have also planned to support coach tickets for workers in central provinces to return home for Tet…

In addition, provincial People’s Committee has just agreed to raise the Tet allowance for immigrant workers who cannot afford to return home for Tet to VND300,000 each while proposing to donate 3,000 Tet gifts to needy workers. Thus, provincial People’s Committee will spend around VND 900mln on taking care of the lives of workers on the 2011 Tet occasion, nearly double 2010’s figure. According to Mr.Khuong, provincial Trade Unions at all levels have actively mobilized businesses to provide cash and gifts to take care of workers’ lives during Tet this year.

Bui Thanh Nhan, chairman of provincial Industrial Parks’ Trade Union said that many businesses in province-based industrial parks have planned to provide transport services for workers who return home for Tet; organize year-end parties and entertainment activities for workers; visit and donate Tet gifts to them…, ensuring to bring them a joyful and cozy Tet.

Many businesses actively take cares of workers’ lives on Tet

Binh Duong Garment One-Member Co.Ltd. is actively preparing for activities to take care of workers’ lives on the 2011 Tet occasion. It is estimated that the company will spend VND1.2bln on providing transport services for over 2,300 out of 2,500 workers to return home for Tet…

More than 6,000 workers at PungKook Sai Gon II Co. in the Song Than II Industrial Park have just enjoyed a year-end party with many delicious dishes. At the party, the company also donated Tet gifts and organized a lucky draw with prizes worth tens of millions of dong for its workers.

Apart from giving Tet bonuses and salaries, Bowker Co.Ltd. in the Dong An Industrial Park has planned to support workers in buying Tet coach and train tickets with VND200,000-VND400,000 for each.

Thanks to their production-trading activities on recovery, province-based businesses this Tet have been ready to spend much money in taking care of workers’ lives. This is also a good sign for the relationship between employers and employees to become nicer and closer in the coming time…
