Bustling spring flowers markets

 

In those days, along many roads in Thu Dau Mot City, Thuan An town, Di An town, spring flowers markets are going to be crowded to serve people’s needs of in the early spring.

The spring air on Bach Dang street, TDM City becomes more boisterous every day. In the afternoon of 10th Feb, dozens of flower traders were busy arranging flowers for sale at the market. Nguyen Van Bay living in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City said, this year, he began to sell from 9th Feb. During the last 2 days, the number of buyers is increasing. Although people tend to save more this year, he still hopes for high sales like the last year.

To prepare for the Bach Dang flowers market, flower gardens in the province, and in Hoc Mon, Cu Chi district (HCM City) prepared carefully a large flowers number to serve people, especially flower pots, bonsai with names bringing good luck in the New Year.

There are abundant types of flower at the Bach Dang flowers market. In addition to short-time flowers, ornamental trees, apricot priced between VND50-100 million are also here to be sold. According to Mr. Bay, ornamental trees in price from VND30 million or more are difficult to sell, but he still brought to the market for people to contemplate.

Purchasing power is increasing

Purchasing power at flower gardens in the province has been increasing since the last 2 days. This year, people tend to choose orchid to decorate on Tet holidays. Gia Han orchid shop owner Cao Ho Xuan Thao in TDM City said, since the last week, the demand for orchid on Tet holidays was increasing. At his shop, many beautiful and impressive orchid pots have attracted customers. Many pots priced over VND30 million have been sold out.

According to flower shop owners on Cach Mang Thang Tam street, Binh Duong Avenue in TDM City, the weather of Tet was colder than last year, thus affecting business. Some apricots and orchids will not bloom right on Tet holidays. Some scarce flowers are priced at VND10,000 - 15,000/flowers.

At Thuan An town, many flower gardens have bustled with people, especially in An Thanh ward. Apricot and short-time flowers are preferred this year. Ms. Tran Thi To Tam living in An Thanh ward said, her family started to shop for Tet festival. She bought 20 pots of marigolds and chrysanthemums to decorate her house.

Although prices of short-time flowers increase about 20% compared to the last year, people still like these flowers, because it is easy to use.
