Celebrating Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day – Day for Returning to the Source Nov 23rd

Morning Nov 23rd, provincial Management Board Monuments and Tourist Attractions in collaboration with Tourism Promotion Center, Ben Cat town Culture - Information Office organized a ceremony to celebrate  Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day - Day for Returning to the Source (Nov 23rd) at Iron Triangle historic tunnels in An Tay commune, Ben Cat town.

Attendants of the ceremony were Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Permanent Member of Provincial People’s Council; heads of departments and branches, Ben Cat town, and more than 500 Youth Union members, students.

Le Phan Thuan, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, reviewed the history on occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day – Day for Returning to the Source Nov 23rd

Currently, the country has over 4,000 historical sites and tourist attractions. Particularly, Binh Duong province has 52 historic cultural monuments including 12 national monuments, 40 provincial monuments with various and diverse history, architecture, archaeology.

Monument conservation has been paid much attention by the province to satisfy people’s learning needs for history and culture. Many valuable artifacts and about 20,000 artifacts of all kinds were collected. Every year, provincial museums and monuments attract thousands of tourists to visit, study and research.

At the ceremony, provincial Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism’s representative called for the people’s awareness of the values of cultural heritage bequeathed by ancestors, history. These values constitute a silent flow but having great possibilities, being the root to create the huge mental strength for the nation. Therefore, everybody, especially, young generations, should join hands to preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural heritage value in general and Binh Duong provincial cultural heritage in particular.

After the ceremony, leaders of departments, branches, and students visited Iron Triangle historic tunnels.
