A representative of Central Electricity (Binh Duong Electricity Company) said that according to the plan, by Oct 2019, this unit would complete the elimination of electricity cost collection at home of customers in Hoa Phu and Phu Tan ward (Thu Dau Mot city), Hoa Loi and Chanh Phu Hoa (Ben Cat town). Currently, the unit manages and sells electricity to 22,543 customers, of which 20,050 customers use electricity for domestic purposes and 2,493 customers use electricity for other purposes.
The plan for suspending electricity cost collection is divided into 3 phases. Namely, phase 1 started from Jul 2019, was implemented in Hoa Phu ward and Hoa Loi ward; Phase 2, starting from Sep 2019, will be implemented in Chanh Phu Hoa and Phu Tan ward; Phase 3 will complete electricity bill collection at customers' houses by 2020.
According to Central Electricity leaders, the electricity industry has cooperated with many banks, Viettel, and intermediaries to collect electricity charges in order to create favorable conditions and many options for customers to make electricity bill payment. These payment methods save customers money, time, limit risks, ensure accuracy and safety for customers and electricity suppliers.
