TDM town-based Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) branch, on June 28, held a conference to review its activities providing loans for the poor over the past four years, in attendance of provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Huynh Van Nhi.
Established in 2007, this is the 18th branch of the HCM city-based CEP. Over the past four years, it provided loans worth VND186bln to 27,634 poor people to launch small businesses; awarded 42 scholarships worth VND53mln to the offspring of poor members; built and upgraded 5 houses of compassion; presented 306 gifts to the poor on the occasion of the annual Tet and great holidays…
Speaking at the conference, Mr.Nhi spoke highly of achievements done by the TDM town-based CEP branch over the past time while suggesting that this CEP branch will further provide timely loans to the poor. Also according to him, provincial People’s Committee will also consider and give financial support for the operation of the fund.
