Chau Thoi Mountain Pagoda donates 300 million VND for the COVID-19 prevention and control

On Mar 4, at Chau Thoi Mountain Pagoda, Di An city, Management Board of the pagoda donated 300 million VND to the COVID-19 prevention and control of the province. The ceremony had the participation of Nguyen Hoang Thao, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, Head of Provincial COVID-19 Prevention Control Steering Committee; Tran Thi Kim Lan, Vice Chairwoman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

At the ceremony, superior Monk Thich Hue Thong, Chairman of Chau Thoi Mountain Pagoda, expressed his gratitude to provincial leaders for the good epidemic prevention and control and caring for the poor in the province. With determination, the province has controlled well the epidemic, prevented not to spread in the community, helped people in the province to welcome Lunar New Year 2021 safely, provincial socio-economic continued to develop. In order to share difficulties and join hands with the province in the epidemic prevention and control, with the compassion and charity of Buddhism, Chau Thoi Mountain Pagoda’s Management Board donated VND 300 million to representatives of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the epidemic prevention and control.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen noted the cordial hearts of the pagoda for caring and sharing difficulties with the province in this work; At the same time, appreciated Buddhist works of the pagoda in recent years that have helped the local government to well implement social security work, take care of the poor and disadvantaged people. Mr. Nguyen wished the pagoda continued to well carry out social charity activities, propagate and encourage Buddhists to well comply with laws and regulations on disease epidemic prevention control; at the same time, to develop Chau Thoi Mountain Pagoda to become a prominent cultural religious tourist destination of the province.
