Such is the target of the program to promote participation of children in matters related to them in Binh Duong Province from 2016 to 2020 as issued by the provincial People’s Committee.
By October 2015, there resides in Binh Duong Province 422,000 children under 16 years old, accounting for 21.8% of the provincial population, 161,000 children under 6 years old, accounting for 38.2% of children under 16 years old. The program specifically targets to getting children consultancy for 90% of laws and policies for children and provincial level, 85% of decisions related to children in community and society. Two to three programs should be organize to promote participation of children into matters related to them across districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City. The program is to improve awareness of authorities, organizations, and individuals regarding the participation of children, helping them to be active, creative, and confident in life. Concurrently, this is helpful for State’s agencies to build up and implement related laws and policies while promoting organizations and individuals to support activities and models promoting participation of children.
