In the afternoon of December 24, the provincial Trade Union organized a gift giving ceremony to support children who are children of deceased union members and workers due to COVID-19. Attending the event was Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member, Head of the provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization, Chairman of the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee.

Accordingly, 5 cash gifts of VND 5 million each and a gift of essential food including milk, rice, cooking oil were given to the children whose father, mother or both parents deceased due to COVID-19 while being Trade Union members and working people at a total value of VND 25 million donated by the "Love for you" program of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.
The last 4th wave of COVID-19 epidemic has severely impacted all aspects of social life and directly affected the health and life of people including many workers. According to statistics, more than 3,000 COVID-19 patients, including many workers, in Binh Duong have died. In order to alleviate some of the pain and create a fulcrum for the children of those union members and workers to be more confident in the upcoming future, the trade union has joined with the authorities and mass organizations to organized many activities to take care of the children through giving savings books, providing scholarships, fostering and so on.
