Exciting competition
The drizzling rain on Saturday morning did not deter the enthusiasm and determination of people in Tan Uyen city at the ceremony launching "Civilized Saturday". From dawn, officials, Party members, youth members and local residents gathered in Tan Hiep resettlement area in Tan Hiep ward’s Tan Phu quarter to participate in the "Civilized Saturday" launching ceremony.
Right after the ceremony, under the guidance of the Organization Board, the local armed forces, officials and citizens were divided into small groups with specific tasks to clean the environment along main roads, quarters and collect waste. Along Nguyen Tri Phuong street, the sounds of laughter, shovels and lawnmowers echoed everywhere, signaling a special new day. Everyone eagerly worked with a high sense of responsibility, creating an exciting competitive atmosphere.
Le Thi Bich in Tan Hiep ward’s Tan Phu quarter in Tan Uyen city shared: "Civilized Saturday is not just an activity on environmental hygiene, but also an opportunity for local people to exchange and strengthen community coherence. It also enhances each individual's and family's awareness of environmental protection, urging everyone to contribute to building up a richer and more beautiful homeland".
After just a few hours of work, the landscape along Nguyen Tri Phuong street completely changed. Seeing the clean street and the radiant smiles on the faces of the local officials, armed forces and residents made everyone feel happy and proud. Besides, officials and citizens also participated in cleaning and planting flowers at Binh Duong provincial Military Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Special Forces Historical Site and the office of Tan Long quarter in Tan Hiep ward.
