Nguyen Tran Phi Long, Chairman of Tan Binh ward’s People’s Committee said that the ward has built a sewage system at the last section of Truong Van Vinh street-Tan Hiep communal house with 200 meters; upgraded 5 streets connecting with Tan Phuoc, Tan Phu 1 and Tan Hiep quarters…with a total expense of billions of dong from State budget and people. The ward has also mobilized resources to build up a synchronous infrastructure system towards a civilized Tan Binh city.
The campaign has also made pervasion in the remaining wards of the town. Thanks to the efforts by the local administration, people have joined hands to turn the ward into a civilized city. Along with helping each other in economic development, people have made contributions to the local infrastructure facilities. For example, they have supported VND70million for construction of a concrete street in Tan Dong Hiep ward’s Dong Tac quarter; made contributions to building 7 alleys with a total expense of more than VND1.8billion; installed sporting tools, grown flowers and ornamental trees at parks in Dong Hoa, Binh Thang wards with a total cost of hundreds of millions of dong. In addition, the town’s self-management groups on environmental hygiene, traffic safety…have regularly engaged in environmental protection activities, absorbing the participation of thousands of members.
In fact, the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban and new-style rural areas” has brought the town practical results, contributing to improving the spiritual and material lives of people while affirming the role of Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the political system.
Nguyen Thi Oanh Kieu, Vice-Chairwoman of Di An town’s Fatherland Front Committee said that the campaign was seen as a major task in 2018. Thanks to propaganda work promoted, people from all strata last year actively practiced civilized lifestyle, made cultural family construction, contributing to building up safe residential areas, cultural quarters and civilized urban wards. Reportedly, there were all 44,249 households with cultural criteria, up 510; 1,525 out of 1,526 quarters recognized as cultural ones, up 13; all 91 units as cultural ones; 69 out of 473 enterprises as cultural ones and all 7 wards registering for civilized urban ward construction.
For the campaign getting in-depth development, the town’s Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will continue closely coordinate with sectors, localities to bend on enhancing the effectiveness of propaganda work by many forms, aiming to create consensus among people and uphold their role; further mobilize people in the remaining wards to soon perfect civilized urban criteria so that the town can reach 100% of wards recognized as civilized urban ones, Mrs.Kieu added.
