After receiving 24 works assigned by Tan Uyen district on Jan. 1, 2010, the center’s cadres and employees implemented a survey to grasp situation of clean water supply for rural areas. Typically, Lac An commune water supply station will be upgraded and invested with the cost of over VND8bil by June, 2012. The investment will supply clean water for 750 local households. In addition, the center will repair the remaining water supply stations in the locality.
Bringing clean water for rural people
In the 2 years of 2010 and 2011, the center invested nearly VND5bil in repairing water supply stations. The center has so far improved items at 17 water supply stations and repaired other 24 stations at Phu Giao district’s An Long, Dau Tieng district’s Dinh Thanh.
Annually, the center collects water samples to check quality of water for all clean water supply works. Statistically, the center in the past year offered about 2 million cubic meters of clean water for households, a 38% increase from 2010. Till the end of 2011, the number of households using clean water is at 11,040.
Project of clean water development
The center will upgrade and repair 2 water supply works at Tan Uyen district’s Lac An and Thanh Hoi communes in 2012 and expand 9 other works at communes of An Binh, Phuoc Hoa and Vinh Hoa of Phu Giao district, Thanh Tuyen, Dinh Hoa and Long Hoa of Dau Tieng, Hoi Nghia, Bach Dang and Tan Phuoc Khanh of Tan Uyen.
In addition, the center will implement constant inspections and promulgations to call upon rural residents to use clean water and spur inspections of quality of water, maintain equipments and machines of water supply stations and set out measures of water loss control, stabilize water supply source for local residents and among others.
