Focusing on stamping out Covid-19 pandemic, Tan Uyen town’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has implemented solutions to quickly handle, separate F0 cases from the community, build and protect the "green zone".
Cleaning the “red zone”
Tan Uyen town has taken samples for Covid-19 testing on all residents and workers; deployed a force of 220 teams with 2 members each to households to collect 3 samples to test for SARS-CoV-2 antigens with rapid test biologicals and take PCR samples. The town's logistics sub-committee for Covid-19 prevention-- control and the town's Health Center will coordinate with agencies and steering committees for Covid-19 prevention and control in communes and wards to organize Covid-19 testing to remove F0 cases from the community. Over the past few days, after conducting rapid testing, the town isolated F0 cases for treatment, traced and quarantined F1 cases, thereby promptly serving the assessment of the actual situation of the pandemic; cleaning the “red zone” and protecting the “blue zone”.

The town has also distributed Covid-19 vaccines and made immunizations to people at 12 communes and wards’ health stations and 5 private hospitals and clinics while perfecting areas on the collection of F0 cases, screening Covid-19 cases for treatment under the 3-storey tower model; classified and isolated infected and suspected people in line with the local actual conditions. On the other hand, the town has strengthened inspection and handling of cases violating regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control, especially social distancing rules under the Prime Minister’s Directive No.16; mobilized the local people to join hands in transforming the "red zone", protecting and expanding the "green zone", strictly implementing the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health.
Building the "green zone"
Tan Uyen town’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has promoted coordination in Covid-19 prvention and control. The town’s whole political system has been proactive and accelerated the implementation of the plan on protecting the "green zone" to soon control the pandemic. In order to protect the "green zone" on the Covid-19 map to return to the "new normal" state, Thanh Phuoc ward’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has implemented solutions, focusing on preventing, repelling and moving towards containing the pandemic. The ward’s steering committee has blocked 11 groups belonging to 3 quarters to protect the "green zone". Specifically, Du Khanh quarter organized blockade of groups 1, 2, 3, 4; Cay Da quarter with groups 1, 2, 3, 4 under blockade; Cay Cham quarter with group 1 under blockade; Tan Luong quarter with group 2 under blockade.
All the groups that are blocked off to protect the "green zone" must strictly comply with the regulations of the steering committee. Organizations, individuals and people in the ward are not allowed to enter and exit the "green zones", strictly following the principle of "stay where one is". People in the "green zones" are obliged to strictly comply with the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health, anti-Covid rules during the social distancing period. The delivery and receipt of goods are carried out at checkpoints. The goods are sprayed disinfection before being bringing to the "green zones". People in the “green zones” are not allowed to go outside, except in certain cases like medical emergencies.
Huynh Ngoc Binh, Chairman of Thanh Phuoc ward’s People's Committee of Ward said: "From August 13, the ward has implemented a blockade of some areas to protect the "green zone". In order to keep households in the blockade area to protect the "green zone" from going out, but still ensure food and foodstuff, the ward’s People's Committee has provided them with the phone numbers of households selling necessary products. The ward People's Committee has worked and agreed with business households to sell goods at prescribed prices. People will receive goods with free delivery at checkpoints. Therefore, they do not need to go outside to buy food and foodstuff, limiting the spread of the pandemic."
In addition, the ward’s Steering Committee has put its quick response team into operation. The rapid response team is responsible for dealing with issues, including medical, emergency, hospital transfer, health consultation; information on infected and suspected cases; healthcare consultation for F0, F1 cases. Regarding support and relief, the team will provide people with food, foodstuff and essential goods during the social distancing period. In addition, the team will deal with violations on security-order and Covid-19 prevention-control; requirements related to the local Covid-19 prevention and control. The team works around the clock, 7 days a week, receiving and quickly processing all the information and urgent requests of the local people during the Covid-19 pandemic for timely support, contributing to maintaining and protecting the “green zones”.
Nguyen Huu Tri, Pernament Vice- Secretary of Tan Uyen town’s Party Committee said: “Tan Uyen town’s Party and government absolutely believe and hope that the town’s medical staff, doctors, soldiers, volunteer forces, the business community and people will continue upholding the will, the spirit of solidarity against the pandemic. People should stay at home, only go outside if really necessary, comply with the health sector’s regulations, contributing to controlling the pandemic in the soonest time.
