Morning Oct 8th, provincial Department of Education and Training (DOET) held a get-together to commend 50 teachers and 953 pupils obtaining outstanding achievements in the 2014-2015 school year exams. PPC conferred certificates of merit on 101 classes, 256 teachers and pupils. During the last academic year, the Department continued to direct, select gifted pupils from school to districts, city, provincial and national level. Through each exam, the Department directed teachers to learn from experiences in cultivating gifted pupils. Among commended pupils in this meeting, 14 pupils won the national excellent pupil’s title, 22 pupils won prizes of the national math problems solving on calculator contest; 161 pupils won prizes of math problems solving, English on the internet contest, math problems solving in English contest, science and technology contests…
In the last national high school exam, the province had 5239 pupils admitted to universities and gaining high scores; 101 classes admitted to universities with admission rate from 63.81% to 100%.
In the 2015-2016 school year, DOET has directed all educational fields and levels to promote measures to improve comprehensive educational quality; adjust regulations on gifted pupils recruitment to select and cultivate promptly good pupils. The Department also encouraged source-creating schools, high-quality schools to innovate in order to cultivate talents.
