In response to world’s day of Thalassmia on May 8 of 2020, the provincial sub-department of Demography and Family Planning informed that plans have been established to improve public awareness of Thalassmia.
The planning was to educate the public of risks of Thalassmia in marriage and the significance of consultancy, screening, diagnosis and early treatment of the disease. Therefore, demographic quality is improved, contributing to well implementation of demographic targets in the new stage.
The sub-department is coordinating with communication agencies to disseminate information about the disease, screening, diagnosis and early treatment.
