Late June 15, Tran Van Nam, Vice-Secretary of provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee presided over a meeting on the draft of reviewing the implementation of provincial Party Committee’s Program No.23/Ctr/TU on environmental protection in the 2011-2015 period.
Over the past five years, the province drastically carried out action programs on environmental protection and they were highly appreciated by the central administration amid the local industrialization and urbanization development speed ranked 2nd or 3rd among localities nationwide. The province always associated its goal of industrial development with environmental protection.
Mr.Nam instructed that localities must reserve several areas for “green space” in all urban plans; take full advantage of waste water treatment systems; be resolute to remove enterprises causing environmental pollution from residential areas; drastically deal with infringements relating to the environment. The goal of the province’s environmental protection was to put the community’s health in a top position.
