Competition held to improve knowledge for social welfare workers

On August 25, Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, in collaboration with other departments and agencies in the province, held a contest to study and disseminate laws concerning social welfare work. Participating in the contest were officials who are doing social welfare jobs in districts, towns, cities and some universities in the province.

The contest aimed to boost propaganda, raise awareness and responsibility of all levels and branches about the implementation of the law in social work; raising awareness of the community about the role and position of social work; orient and encourage people to use social work services. At the same time, creating an opportunity for public employees doing in social welfare work to exchange and share knowledge and experience.

Trinh Duc Tai, Director of Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, said: “The contest raised many important questions, posted many issues of concern in each locality, and improved knowledge for social work staff across the province. The contest was held for the first time, serving as a premise for the following years.
