Early March 22, at the Hall of Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee, Provincial Police held a conference of crime prevention clubs in 2016. Attending the conference was Huynh Ngoc Phuong, the Deputy Head of V28 Agency of Ministry of Public Security and representatives, dignities of agencies, religion organizations, and enterprises with presence of hundreds of members of 91 crime prevention clubs in the province.

Reporting operations of crime prevention clubs in 2015, Lt. Col. Vo Van Phuc, the Deputy Director of Provincial Police informed that the clubs have discovered, informed of and directly captured subjects of 201 cases related to security and order. Approximately 284 law breaching subjects have been captured red-handed to confiscate 171 motorcycles, 25 mobile phones, 12 gold necklaces, 32 heroine pieces, and many other assets at about VND 250 million. Management boards of the clubs have organized 2,735 sessions of law dissemination to 142,877 turns of attendants. At the conference, donations have been voluntarily made at total value of VND 108 million.
Addressing the conference, Dang Minh Hung, the Deputy Chair of Provincial People's Committee, praised the contributions of crime prevention clubs in movements of national defense and construction while noting that functional agencies and enterprises should encourage those clubs to operate for more brilliant performances.
The plenum conference also met up 4 model individuals and awarded merit certificates of provincial People's Committee to 10 collectives and 12 individuals for their brilliant achievements in discovering and capturing criminals.
