Thu Dau Mot city Women Union held the “Confident-talented-charming women” contest 2014 on Oct. 18 at the provincial Center for Culture and Movie. The contest attracted 60 contestants who are cadres, members and women living and working at the city.
Examinees were divided into 3 groups based on their ages to complete 4 exam parts including traditional costumes, aptitude and presentation.
Contestants showed their Southern beauty via traditional costumes such as ao dai, ao ba ba. The contest is to honor beauty and moral standard of Vietnamese women in the process of industrialization and modernization and simultaneously to encourage cadres, members and women to build and perfect their virtues and moral standards, talents to build a happy, advanced and wealthy family, contributing to keep the country’s cultural identity.
The contest is a good opportunity for women to exchange real experiences to gradually build strong movements for women at grassroot level.
