Radiant in the nation's spring
At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, delivered a speech recalling the glorious 95-year history of the Party. Aligning with the nation's historical journey, as early as 1930, the first Communist Party cells such as Di An Railway Depot’s Party Cell, Binh Nham Communal Party Cell and Dau Tieng Rubber Plantation’s Party Cell were established, gradually forming within the revolutionary struggle in the province. In response to the urgent need for a central leadership body to directly guide the province's growing revolutionary movement, in February 1936, the Southern Party Committee decided to establish Thu Dau Mot provincial Party Committee, with comrade Truong Van Nham, a Southern Party Committee member, appointed as provincial Party Committee Secretary.
Under the leadership of provincial Party Committee, people from all strata, commando units and armed forces in the province achieved numerous glorious victories, earning praise from President Ho Chi Minh in his New Year poem for the Year of the Horse in 1966: "Rejoicing in the South’s radiant victories / Many Dau Tieng, Bau Bang, Playme, Da Nang...". Many places are associated with the process of building forces and revolutionary struggles of our army and people such as War Zone D, Thuan An Haa, Tam Giac Sat, Vinh Loi, Dat Cuoc, Bong Trang, Nha Do... which will forever be engraved in the glorious history of the nation”. The names of pioneering communist soldiers like Truong Van Nham, Ho Van Cong, Tran Tu Binh, Nguyen Van Tiet, Van Cong Khai, Huynh Van Nghe, along with generations of steadfast cadres and soldiers of Binh Duong, who devoted their entire lives, fought bravely and sacrificed selflessly for the noble revolutionary cause of national independence and freedom, as well as for the happiness and prosperity of the people, remain a source of everlasting pride. The Party, the military, and the people of Binh Duong will always take pride in their significant contributions to the struggle for national liberation and reunification.
Joining whole country in entering a new era
During the nation's development phase, under the leadership of the Party, Binh Duong has continuously strived to build up a more prosperous homeland. Nearly 50 years after national reunification, 40 years of implementing the “renewal” cause and 28 years since the province's establishment, with sharp strategic visions and groundbreaking policies, Binh Duong has transformed from a poor, agriculture-based province into a rapidly industrialized and urbanized economic powerhouse, making significant contributions to the country's overall achievements. By the end of 2024, the province's per capita income had reached VND 181 million, the highest in the country, with the urbanization rate of 85%. Binh Duong has attracted over US$ 42 billion in foreign investment, ranking second nationwide. Notably, from the beginning of 2025 until now, the province has secured approximately US$ 3.5 billion in domestic and foreign investment. Trade activities have continued maintaining a trade surplus of over US$ 10 billion. Key projects, especially regional connectivity traffic infrastructure ones, are being prioritized for investment and continuously improved. The fields of culture, society, health and education have continued receiving comprehensive investment attention and achieved positive results. National defense and security have been maintained stably. Foreign affairs activities have been enhanced. The work of building the Party and a clean and strong political system has been emphasized.
Comrade Nguyen Van Loi emphasized that the province's achievements in recent years have been highly recognized and appreciated by the Government, which has chosen Binh Duong as a model for summarizing provincial-level development after 40 years of national renovation. When studying Binh Duong, scientists have described its progress as "a miraculous development story". That development story was written in the spirit of innovation, creativity, daring to think, knowing how to do —persistently pursued across multiple terms by generations of leaders, the entire political system, the business community and people from all strata.
2025 holds special significance as a pivotal time for accelerating progress and making breakthroughs to successfully achieve the Resolution of the 11th provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. It is also a year marked by major national events: the 95th founding anniversary of the Party, the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, the 80th anniversary of the country's founding and Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress. Notably, it is a year in which the Government has introduced and will continue implementing historic policies—like a fresh wind—awakening all resources and opportunities to propel the nation into a new era, an era of remarkable national growth.
In the nation's ongoing journey, with the spirit of "Solidarity, dynamism, creativity, autonomy, confidence, self-reliance, self-reliance, daring to think, knowing how to do, daring to break through for common benefits", Binh Duong is determined to accelerate, break through and achieve stronger development alongside the country as it enters a new era. The province is committed to its goal that by 2030—marking the 100th anniversary of the Party’s founding—Binh Duong will become a centrally run city, a smart, civilized, prosperous and affectionate city.
During the get-together, the province awarded the third-class Labor Medals, granted by the State President, to Nguyen Chi Trung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission; Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission and Bui Duy Hien, Chief Inspector of the province. The title of “National Emulation Soldier”, awarded by the Prime Minister, was presented to Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Society. Additionally, provincial Party Standing Committee awarded 40-65-year Party membership badges to 18 Party members and honored 95 exemplary Party members for outstanding performance in 2024.
