Provincial Red Cross Society and its branches have upheld the effectiveness of activities connecting and sharing love. From this, they have brought the joy and practical support to the poor.

Connecting well-off people with needy ones

In late April, Do Quoc Phu Son, a resident with extremely difficult circumstance in TDM city’s Tuong Binh Hiep ward was donated a “Red Cross” house from provincial Red Cross Society and its branch in Tuong Binh Hiep ward. Do Anh Long, a donor in TDM city’s Chanh My ward supported VND50million for the construction of the house. He said that he will further coordinate with the local Red Cross Society to share difficulties with needy cases via significant activities.

Gifts for needy people at provincial Red Cross Society’s charity point

The Covid-19 pandemic outbreak has affected many people, especially those with difficult circumstances. Provincial Red Cross Societies and its branches have actively mobilized organizations, individuals to offer help to needy people amid Covid-19 pandemic by many practical activities.

Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Society said that since the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic, the society has mobilized many resources from organizations, units, enterprises and donors in and out of the province to support needy people. Particularly, the society organized delegations to visit, offer gifts to disadvantaged people in and out of the province.

Pervasion of sharing

Taking care of needy cases is a deed always maintained by provincial Red Cross Society and its branches by many practical activities, including the campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address”. The campaign is now implemented every two years. Every month, a humanitarian address will be supported VND300,000 from the campaign together with other practical gifts from donors.

Noticeably, provincial Red Cross Society opened a point granting free necessities to those who have been affected by Covid-19 pandemic at No.104, 30-4 street, Phu Hoa ward, TDM city on April 29. After being opened, the charity point will work on Sunday mornings. On average, the society will deliver at least 1,000 gifts, comprising of necessities, to those who have extremely difficult circumstances every week. It is known that many organizations and individuals also supported money, rice and many other necessities for needy people via the charity point.
