Early February 22, Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city held a launch ceremony for the contest "Proposals for Urban Development and Growth of TDM city for the 2025-2030 period and following years". The event was attended by Nguyen Van Dong, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of TDM city’s Party Committee.
The launch ceremony aims at creating widespread engagement within the community, encouraging individuals, organizations and experts to contribute innovative ideas to the city’s urban development, contributing to setting up the draft Resolution of the city’s 13th Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and support the implementation of urban development resolutions.
Accordingly, the proposed ideas, solutions and initiatives will focus on various key areas, including urban planning and development, transportation and technical infrastructure; environmental protection, green space expansion and a zero-waste city initiative; urban greening in TDM; digital transformation, smart city development, high-tech applications; economic and social development, investment attraction, economic policies and competitiveness enhancement; improvement of public service quality and administrative reforms; building of an efficient and effective urban government; development of culture, preservation of national identity, social welfare, education and healthcare to enhance the quality of life for residents. Ideas for iconic and landmark projects as well as social welfare infrastructure will also be considered. Additionally, proposals for cultural festivals and events that serve the city’s residents are encouraged. Ensuring national defense, public security and traffic safety will be key priorities. The initiative also aims at fostering a united and civilized community, contributing to the development of an affectionate and modern city.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, leaders of the city expressed the hope that the spirit of the competition would receive widespread support, resonate deeply within the community, garner sincere, honest and serious contributions, driven by a sense of civic responsibility, dedication and love for Thu Dau Mot City.
