Continual care-taking of working people

On the occasion of the Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2023, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the provincial Trade Union organized delegations to visit and give gifts to relatives of those who died due to occupational accidents and victims of occupational accidents.

To alleviate the pain of people suffering from occupational accidents

Entering Huynh Tan Oanh's house in Binh Duc neighborhood of Binh Hoa ward in Thuan An city, we see on the altar his photo with incense smoke still lingering. His wife, Nguyen Thi Hue, still could not hold back her tears at the sudden death of her husband in a month more or less. She said that she and her husband moved from the Central region to Binh Duong to settle down. Her husband had a reputation for being enthusiastic about doing business, gentle, and loved by neighbors. However, unfortunate accident was inflicted on him to cause instant death. "My family was supported by the company with funeral expenses, now the leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the provincial labor union visit, give gifts, and encourage, my children and feel a little bit of sharing," said Hue.

On the occasion of Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health, leaders of the provincial labor union and the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs present gifts to the relatives of the deceased due to occupational accidents.

Visited by the leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the provincial labor union during Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health, Bui Quang Dung of An Phu ward in Thuan An city was very touched. Previously, he was a maintenance worker of Asama Yuh Jiun International VN Co. Ltd. in Di An city. During an elevator repair, he fell under the elevator from the 2nd floor to the ground due to a problem and was injured with the rate of 87%. From a healthy person of long future ahead, yet he had to stick with the hospital for a long time. Disabled but not unable, Dung revived his spirit and determined to lead a useful life. Emphasizing his determination, he put up a sign with the words: "When you want to give up, remember why you had started" and every day he looks at it to strive to surpass himself. Currently, Dung sells goods online to earn a living, and at the same time learns foreign languages to find a job that is suitable for his health conditions in the future.

The above are just 2 out of 30 cases visited and given gifts by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the provincial labor union on the occasion of the Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2023. Leaders of the two units graciously encouraged the families whose loved ones died due to work accidents to overcome the pain and loss. In case of occupational accident, it is necessary to make efforts to overcome difficulties and exercise in order to find a suitable job in the future.

Diverse forms of taking care of employees

Currently, Binh Duong has over 1 million workers who in the past time have been benefited from the political system for its constant attention to and prompt and effective guidelines and policies of the CPV and the State, the policies of the province related to workers and employees, and assurance of the legitimate rights and interests of workers and employees.

Enterprises are paying more and more attention to the observance of legal regulations on labor, occupational safety and health, fire and explosion prevention, etc. in order to build a harmonious and stable labor relationship so that employees can work with peace of mind and stay with the business and the locality for a long time. Unlucky people suffering from occupational accidents and occupational diseases are cared for and guaranteed benefits.

Continuing to care for employees, this year's Workers Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health are the high time to act. Accordingly, Trade Union organizations across the province have carried out practical and timely activities to take care of union members and employees. Specifically, the units have focused on propaganda and education, participating in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees, taking care of the material and spiritual life of disadvantaged immigrant workers suffering from labor accidents, occupational diseases, and dangerous diseases. In addition, various levels, branches, political and social organizations and business community have launched many emulation movements to promote initiatives, improve techniques, professional qualifications and skills, rewarding and praising employees.

Pham Van Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said Binh Duong has many businesses investing in business activities, attracting hundreds of thousands of workers from other provinces and cities to live. and work. Seeing the significance of occupational safety and health work, more and more employers are interested in investing funds, facilities and personnel for this work with understanding of the importance of complying with regulations on occupational safety and health and actively participate in production activities at the enterprises.
