Continuing strictly controlling people entering, leaving HCM city, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An

That is the request in the Prime Minister’s Official Dispatch No. 1265/CD-TTg dated September 30 to the People's Committees of HCM city and the southern provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Long An.

Accordingly, HCM city and the southern provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An (called the Region) continue strictly controlling people’s exit and entry. The transportation of people in and out of the "Region" must be approved and organized safely and thoughtfully by the authorities of the provinces and cities in the "Region" and other localities. The authorities of HCM city, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An are responsible to the Prime Minister if they let people go out of their localities to other localities outside the "Region". Localities nationwide continue closely and effectively coordinating with localities in the "Region" to disseminate, mobilize and provide necessary support to people, aiming to encourage them not to freely return to their hometowns; have coordination in bringing workers who have returned to their hometowns to localities in the "Region" to recovery production and business. The localities in the "Region" agree on a plan to manage people moving inside, creating favorable conditions for safe production and business recovery.

Explaining this issue, the official dispatch also stated: The requirements of people’s travel in the "Region" and with other localities are very great and legitimate; However, the situation of the pandemic in the "Region" has been gradually controlled, but it is still complicated because the pandemic has spread deeply in the community. People in the "Region" have been given priority to getting the first shot of Covid-19 vaccine, but they can be still infected with the virus and transmit it to others while the vaccine coverage in localities is still low. If the pandemic spreads, it will cause overload on the health system, seriously affecting people’s life and health.
