Under the "Day for the Poor" campaign launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, over the past years, provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and its member organizations propagandized and mobilized people from all strata to actively respond and support the Fund "For the Poor”. As a result, they mobilized many resources to the fund and organized many meaningful activities.
Practically helping the poor
In order to well perform the work of caring and supporting the poor to rise up in life and let "no one being left behind", over the past time, provincial Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations mobilized all resources to carry out social welfare activites. From support resources, provincial Fatherland Front at all levels had many practical support activities for disadvantaged households, helping them rise up in life, creating consensus of the whole society with the work of taking care of the poor.

In 2022, although there are still many difficulties, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, with the spirit of "mutual solidarity and mutual love", many agencies, organizations, businesses, donors...have continued contributing to the Fund "For the Poor" in order to join hands with the province to well implement sustainable poverty reduction and social welfare work. Tran Thi Kim Lan, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Deputy Head of provincial Mobilization Board for the “Day For the Poor" campaign said that over the past 9 months, the 3-level Fund "For the Poor" in the province received more than VND 10.39 trillion from organizations and inviduals. Of these, more than VND 4.7 billion was given for provincial Fund "For the Poor"; more than VND2.63billion for district-level Fund "For the poor"; more than VND3 billion for the commune-level Fund "For the poor".
From the mobilized funds, provincial Mobilization Boards for the "Day for the Poor" campaign at all levels have organized such meaningful activities as supporting to build and repair “great unity” houses, supporting the poor in production development, medical examination and treatment, supporting the offspring of poor households to go to school... According to statistics by provincial Mobilization Board for the "Day for the Poor" campaign, in 2022, the whole province has supported the construction and repair of 53 “great unity” houses with a total value of more than VND 3.88 trillion from the Fund "For the Poor"; built and upgraded 64 “great unity” houses from social welfare programs with a total value of over VND 6.29 billion; implemented 149 welfare works on upgrading schools, health stations…with a total value of more than VND 11 billion; supporting 15,539 people from poor and near-poor households, those with extremely difficult circumstances to develop production models, with more than VND 524 billion.
Contributing to well realizing social welfare
According to Mrs. Lan, in the coming time, provincial Mobilization Boards for the Fund "For the Poor" at all levels will continue improving the quality of mobilizing, managing and using the Fund "For the Poor" effectively and coordinate with functional sectors, social organizations to implement social welfare policies..., contributing to ensuring the local social welfare. In addition, provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will coordinate with member organizations and relevant sectors to promote propaganda via the mass media, focusing on disseminating campaigns, especially the peak campaign "Month for the Poor" from October 17 to November 18, 2022 on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam National Unification Front in order to strengthen the great national unity bloc and prepare material facilities to take care of the poor and poor households in the province.
Provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will advise the Party committees and coordinate with the authorities at the same level to regularly inspect and supervise the receipt, management and use of the Fund "For the Poor". Provincial Mobilization Board for the "Day for the Poor" campaign will continue guiding the Fatherland Front Standing Committees of districts, towns and cities to well coordinate in implementing the motto of "no poor household without any support organization" while effectively implementing the emulation movement of "Binh Duong joining hands for the poor-no one is left behind”.
