Talking to us, Mr. An-Kyu Kang, Director of Kolon Vietnam Company in Uyen Hung Industrial Complex of Tan Uyen town, reminded: “During the 4th wave of COVID-19 epidemic, workers had not been vaccinated as the risk of disease transmission was very high, so a series of enterprises were forced to suspend their production. Up to now, the province's COVID-19 vaccine coverage has reached a high level, and most workers have had enough basic doses of vaccines to enable production and business activities to return to normal. In order to ensure that the production process does not stop if the disease continues to occur, enterprises should coordinate with industries and localities to propagate and campaign for vaccination of 3rd and 4th doses for workers.”
Being aware of the importance of vaccination against COVID-19, nearly more than 2,000 workers of Kolon Vietnam have received injections of 3rd and 4th dose. Standing side by side with the workers, Mr. Ho Loi Minh Linh, Chairman of the Trade Union of the 2,000-worker company said: “When the sub-variant BA.5 of Omicron was recorded infiltrating our country and could possibly increase the number of infection cases, in the coming time, businesses have determined that vaccination is an effective solution to effectively prevent the disease. Under that spirit, the Board of Directors of the company has helped employees to be vaccinated. Determining that employees' health is a precious resource of enterprises, after injection, employees can rest to recover without being deducted from their attendance points. As a result, employees are very excited when exercising the right to protect health associated with protecting production for the company. In the industrial cluster, many foreign business owners have actively injected the 4th dose and actively propagated vaccination among workers.”
