Early March 28, provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control held an online meeting with 9 districts, towns and cities in the province. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation and Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee.
Over the past 7 days, the number of new Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations during the week decreased, but the number of deaths increased twofold compared to the previous week. From March 7, Binh Duong launched a campaign to increase vaccination against Covid-19 for people. The total number of vaccines administered in the whole province during the campaign was 292,262 doses, including 14,281 doses for children aged 12-17 and 277,981 doses for people aged 18 and above. As of March 27, the province administered 236,051 doses for children aged 12-17 and more than 6.03 million doses for people aged 18 and above. However, the actual number of injectors in the province was higher than the number updated on the system. The reason was that the data entry and completion of updated data on the system was still slow...
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Loi said that over the past week, the province’s vaccination work saw many significant changes. The province’s vaccination campaign was completed basically and achieved the set target. In the coming time, sectors and localities will further put vaccination against Covid-19 for people as the top task, continue setting up a plan on first, second and third-dose injections for all people and prepare to vaccinate children aged 5 and above to vaccinate against 1st, 2nd and 3rd doses and prepare to vaccinate children aged 5 and 11. He suggested localities to further improve the quality of treatment for Covid-19 patients, ensuring early and remote treatment for people to reduce the rate of severe cases and deaths. The health sector needs to rearrange treatment facilities, build mobile medical stations in the spirit of 15,000 people per medical station, organize post-Covid-19 seminars... Localities need to conduct inspection of medical equipment during the anti-Covid-19 process in the spirit of self-review, self-examination and self-correction.
