On August 5, continuing the implementation of a large-scale Covid-19 vaccination program, thousands of doctors, nurses, health workers of the public health force and private medical facilities in the locality. The provincial authority has urgently deployed troops to carry out assigned tasks. In this campaign, localities also mobilized forces to simultaneously launch the drive of deploying the program quickly for the goal of achieving herd immunity.
Progress boosted
In the morning of August 5, thousands of people including workers in industrial zones were delighted to receive vaccination against Covid-19. As noted by the reporter, at injection locations in Thu Dau Mot city, Di An city and Thuan An city, the speed of vaccination was faster than before. The public and private health forces have coordinated well together to help the vaccination program in many localities go faster than previously planned.
People of Thuan An city are vaccinated against Covid-19
Present at the Medical Station of Di An ward in Di An City at noon on August 5, we witnessed hundreds of people queuing up neatly waiting to be vaccinated against Covid-19. Medical forces, doctors, nurses and medical staffs in blue protective suits constantly consulted, screened and vaccinated people. Talking to reporters, Ms. Trinh Thi Huyen, a worker at Thai Binh Leather Shoe Company in Di An city, said that she felt very happy because she was vaccinated. Thanks to the vaccine, Huyen hoped to help herself stay healthy and reduce the risk of Covid-19 infection while ensuring her health in the labor and production process.
Mr. Pham Van Bay, Deputy Chairman of People's Committee of Di An city, said that the city has just received 32,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines from the province and is urgently implementing the vaccination program at the city Health Center and other hospitals and ward medical stations. “According to the plan, this time the city will administer 32,000 doses to people in residential areas and workers working in factories and enterprises outside industrial zones in the areas. Vaccination program takes place in two days of August 5 and 6. After completing the large-scale vaccination on August 6, the city will continue to organize vaccination for the missed out people," said Mr. Bay.
Private medical sector mobilized
In this Covid-19 vaccination program, the provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) is the focal point for distributing vaccines and appointing personnel to coordinate, support, and monitor professional capacity and the vaccination progress of localities and health facilities participating in vaccination drives. After receiving the vaccines from CDC of the province, the districts, towns and cities will have the task of distributing the vaccines to localities and the health facilities assigned to participate in vaccination to promptly conduct the vaccination on people and workers according to the plan.
Along with the public health system, the private health system in the province has also actively stepped in to speed up the vaccination schedule. Mr. Bui Kim Khanh, National Director of VNVC Immunization System, which has a large number of doctors, nurses and medical staffs participating in this Covid-19 vaccination campaign in Binh Duong, said that with the advantage of being a unit specializing in immunization activities with a system of 60 vaccination centers nationwide, VNVC can easily mobilize and increase personnel for localities in case of need. “We have a modernly invested vaccine preservation system, well-trained and professional human resources, so the vaccination on people and workers in the past days has been quite convenient and quick,” Mr. Khanh said.
While the "red zone" localities are urgently implementing vaccination programs for people and workers, the northern "blue zone" localities such as Dau Tieng, Phu Giao and Bac Tan Uyen districts are also in the process of simultaneously conducting two programs to combat Covid-19 epidemic to re-establish sustainable "blue zones" and the program of vaccination against Covid-19. Talking to us, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Linh, Chairman of Dau Tieng district People's Committee, said that this time, Dau Tieng district has been allocated 14,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines by the province and the locality has implemented a vaccination program ever since August 4. Up to now, Dau Tieng district has injected about 1/3 of the total number of the distributed vaccines.
