On May 15, Provincial Department of Education and Training (DET) held a conference on vocational education (VET) for the second quarter of 2025. Attending the conference were Ms. Truong Hai Thanh, Deputy Director of the DET and leaders of 65 VET institutions in the province.
From March 1, 2025, Binh Duong transferred the functions and tasks of state management and public service units under the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to the Department of Education and Training. Accordingly, the whole province has 65 VET institutions and a number of colleges and intermediate schools associated with VET training. As of April 2025, the whole province recruited more than 11,900 new students and graduated more than 12,100 students.
At the conference, vocational education institutions recommended that the Department of Education and Training create conditions for schools to connect the common data system to the enrollment system of the Ministry of Education and Training to facilitate the promotion and enrollment work. This not only helps candidates access information between higher education and vocational education in a transparent and complete manner, but also helps vocational education schools compete fairly with universities in accessing candidates.
The conference set out important directions from now until the end of 2025 for vocational education units to strengthen coordination, innovate training programs, link, and apply information technology in teaching and management.
