Over the past time, the movement of "All people unifying to build cultural life" associated with the movement of "Building a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle" in Thu Dau Mot city has always been interested and developed with many meaningful models, bringing practical effects in real life. Thu Dau Mot city has also proposed many contents to focus on implementing in order to further promote the effectiveness of the movement and develop the movement in a sustainable and in-depth manner.
The members of the model of “VND 0 breakfast for workers” in Quarter 5 of Phu Loi ward are preparing meals to distribute to the subjects.
Practical models
Recently, the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tan ward has launched the model of "Solidarity - gratitude hostel" in Quarter 2, which is one of the models implemented in response to the standards of urban cultural and civilized lifestyle in the area. The model consists of 5 members who are the owner of the Gia Sung hostel, the Executive Board of Quarter 2 and operates in the form of mobilizing inn owners to exempt and reduce monthly rent for young workers with special circumstances. In addition, the members will regularly visit to grasp the situation and encourage residents in the neighborhood. Those living in extremely difficult circumstances will be considered and given unexpected gifts to stabilize their lives.
The model is highly appreciated by leaders of Phu Tan ward. Thereby, local leaders also suggested that the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee and ward unions continue to build more and more good models to mobilize benefactors in the area to join hands with the locality to take care of the youth, young workers and people in difficult circumstances, contributing to the good implementation of social security work.
Implementing the movement of all people to unite to build cultural life in association with the project of "Building an urban cultural - civilized lifestyle", many localities of Thu Dau Mot city have built and implemented over time many practical models, contributing to propaganda and mobilizing people to accompany the locality in implementing the criteria of building a cultural - civilized urban lifestyle and build the image of exemplary citizens throughout the city.
Do Xuan Hung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Chairman of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Loi ward, said that to carry out the movement in association with the project to improve the quality of the campaign to build a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle, in the locality a model of "VND 0 breakfast for laborers" in Quarter 5 has been effective as implemented and maintained by the Party Committee, Executive Board, Front Work division and neighborhood associations for about 2 years. The first support object of the model is laborers, then households with difficult circumstances in the locality. After 2 years of implementation, the model has grown in both scale and supported audience.
“In particular, the model has attracted many benefactors to join hands to contribute and create a great consensus for workers and families with difficult circumstances. Although it is only implemented once a month, the model has given more motivation to workers and people to continue to strive and stick with the locality," said Hung.
To bring the movement into depth
In the past year, the movement of all people to unite to build a cultural life in Thu Dau Mot city continued to achieve encouraging results. Typical movements including b uilding a cultural family; cultured quarter; agencies, units and enterprises meet cultural standards; wards meeting urban civilization standards; implementation of a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals all have positive changes, focusing on depth and quality.
However, besides the positive results, the movement still has limitations and shortcomings such as the irregular coordination of the authorities with departments and mass organizations at the grassroots level, the unmobilized synergy in the implementation of the movement, the quality of the movement in some places, the unlinked the movement's content with the performance of their political tasks among others. Therefore, in order for the movement of the whole people to unite to build an increasingly practical and sustainable cultural life, leaders of Thu Dau Mot city People's Committee suggested that the Steering Committee of the all-people movement unite to build cultural life at all levels should increase the awareness of the Party committees, authorities and people about the movement to consider this an important political task of the locality.
In addition, localities need to strictly implement the comment and recognition of cultural titles in accordance with regulations in order to be close to reality to avoid formality and to ensure that the quality of the movement with focus on disseminating new regulations in the Government's decrees on culture, promoting propaganda on cultural and civilized behavior in the family and community. At the same time, localities should promote communication work to build a standard cultural life in social life, thereby contributing to building a Vietnamese cultural and people life in accordance with the standards of cultural behavior to effectively propagate the contents of the movement through the examples of good people and good deeds in society in order to arouse the sense of responsibility of individuals, groups and communities, focusing on upholding the responsibility of setting examples of Party members, heads of Party committees and authorities at all levels.
