To celebrate big holidays in April and May, on May 10th, Binh Duong Economics – Engineering University organized a Cultural Sports Festival of “Study Fellow-countrymen” Club with many playful activities helping nationwide students to strengthen the solidarity in learning and life.
The heat of May days did not prevent student to attend eagerly the Festival. They took part together in traditional games, sports, cooking contest for exchange and learning each other. Cheery laughter wiped out stress after months of hard study.
Highlights of this year's Festival were the parade with the message of environmental protection. Students of clubs brought messages, such as: For a sustainable world, felling of trees is destroying habitat, trees are the lungs of humans and the earth, turning off electrical devices when not in use...

With the message: "Using energy sparingly and protecting the environmental", “Study Fellow-countrymen” Clubs of Tan Uyen town, North Tan Uyen, Phu Giao reminded everyone to save energy. Deputy Rector Ms. Le Bich Phuong said, the preparation, practice, gathering forces for the festival was bustling and urgent. The clubs overcame difficulties to be creative in organization, management and design the festival and then had a good result.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Nhan, Head of Student Affairs, “Study Fellow-countrymen” Club was founded in 2013 including 14 clubs nationwide. The Club was to help students in sharing, helping disadvantaged students to overcome difficulties in learning and life. So far, clubs is growing and have organized meaningful activities, such as: self-learning groups, scientific research…
In addition, clubs have carried out community-based activities, environmental activities, introduced their localities to other clubs. Student Le Thi An, President of Central provinces club, said, their club had one meeting per month. On the occasion of uncle Ho’s birthday, the club organized a trip returning to the root. Besides, the club organized many charity activities, such as: visiting orphans, the elderly in the social welfare centers.
Activities of “Study Fellow-countrymen” Clubs have promoted the movement of learning and training in the university. Lecturers and students continue to teach and learn well. The university will also contact with business and administrative units in and outside the province for internships of students. Particularly, students will try to learn, train professional and soft skills well.
