Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST), on June 4, held a conference to review its activities in the first six months of 2024 and implement key tasks for the rest of the year in Di An city.
In the first six months of 2024, the sector achieved positive results in many fields. The sector's State management work was implemented synchronously, promptly and effectively. Regular inspection and investigation were conducted. Visual propaganda, cultural and artistic activities, and sports events celebrating national holidays and anniversaries continued being innovated, creating a joyful atmosphere, serving recreational needs of people from all strata.
Many annual and large-scale grassroots sports events, conducted in a socialized manner, were successfully organized. The province's tourism sector served 2,050,000 visitors or 68.3% of the annual plan, up 36.7% compared to the same period in 2023. Its tourism revenue was estimated at VND 1.2 trillion or 60% of the annual plan, up 33.3% compared to the same period in 2023.
On this occasion, provincial DoCST announced a task of upgrading its website at https://sovhttdl.binhduong.gov.vn with many new functions. This is also one of the important criteria contributing to improving the Public Administration Reform (Par) index, the Index of Public Administration Services (SIPAS), information and communications technology (ICT) index, especially the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) of the DoCST.
