
Dat Cuoc commune attaches special importance to
investing and developing its infrastructure
Dat Cuoc, My Loc, Tan Tich, Thuong Lan…were the famous place-names of the War Zone D in the past two wars of resistance. After 1975-liberation, the then war zone in general and Dat Cuoc in particular have been on the rise day by the day.Dat Cuoc commune now has a total natural land of 3,114ha with a population of more than 1,640 people. Its land and mineral resources are very favorable for developing the sectors of agriculture, industry, trade and services. So far, the Dat Cuoc industrial park has been completed and put into operation.
Since its establishment in 2005, Dat Cuoc commune has quickly set up a stable political system with social order maintained and material facilities under good investment. The commune’s economic performance is shifting towards the growth of industry, trade-services and the reduction of agriculture. The commune’s home-based business has also made sharp growth, creating jobs for thousands of laborers and greatly contributing to the local poverty reduction.
Dat Cuoc commune is now home to 55 businesses in the industry and construction sector, up 45 compared to 2005. The total number of individual business households herein has so far amounted to 87, up 72 compared to 2005. There are also 11 households getting involved in lodging businesses, up 7 compared to 2005…
In terms of agricultural sector, farmers in Dat Cuoc commune have got involved in crop restructuring for better results. The commune’s concentrated livestock breeding sector has also seen growth…So far, the ratio of the local households in use of electricity has so far reaches 98.75%, up 7.21% compared to 2005 while there have been 100% of households in use of clean water…
Dat Cuoc commune has also paid more attention to social-cultural fields and reaped positive changes. The commune’s health station was recognized as a unit meeting national standards between 2008 and 2009. Over the past five years, the commune also built 30 unity houses for poor households and upgraded 3 gratitude houses. The whole commune now has 5 poor households, decreasing by 63 households compared to 2005…
The above results came from the integral efforts of Dat Cuoc commune’s government and people. With the current growth momentum, it is hoped that Dat Cuoc commune will further strive for better results to be worthy of being one of the communes belonging to the War Zone D with the heroic tradition in the two resistance wars against France and the US and in the national development renewal period.
