Early August 17, Dau Tieng district’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control organized a program to announce the local "green zone". After many rounds of Covid-19 screenings with no new positive cases, the district has established and announced the “green zone" for 81 out of 89 hamlets under 11 out of 12 communes and towns.
As of August 15, the "green zone" of district covered about 98.27% of population and 98.60% of households. So far, the district has also recorded 81 out of 89 hamlets in the "green zone" or 91.01% of total; 6 out of 89 hamlets belonging to the “yellow zone” or 6.74% of total; 2 out of 89 hamlets under the “orange zone” or 2.25% of total and no more hamlets are in the “red zone”. For the remaining areas bordering Chon Thanh in Binh Phuoc province, Bau Bang district, Ben Cat town, Cu Chi district in Ho Chi Minh city, Duong Minh Chau in Tay Ninh province, although no Covid-19 cases were recorded, the district has been proactive to classify them as high-risk areas and put forward its own plan in Covid-19 prevention and control.
On this occasion, the district also held a meeting with functional agencies and localities to have a plan to maintain the "green zone".
