On June 26, People's Council of Dau Tieng district held a meeting to approve monitoring results of Dau Tieng district meeting the advanced new rural construction (NRC) standards.
In the past two years, Dau Tieng district had 4 more communes (Minh Tan, Dinh An, Minh Hoa and Long Tan) recognized by Provincial People's Committee as meeting advanced rural standards, bringing the total number of communes meeting advanced NRC standards, increasing the district's number to 9/ 11 communes, including: Thanh An, Dinh Thanh, Dinh Hiep, Minh Tan, Dinh An, Minh Hoa, Thanh Tuyen, Long Tan, Long Hoa. However, according to Decision No. 2459/QD-UBND dated October 3, 2022 of Provincial People's Committee on the promulgation of a set of criteria for advanced NRC communes for the 2021-2025 period, 32 additional criteria were added (from 43 to 75 criteria) compared to the previous regulations, in which there are many criteria that need to be improved, require difficult and higher conditions.
Therefore, after re-evaluating according to the new set of criteria, the communes still have some criteria and targets that have not been met according to regulations. At the meeting, the District People's Council proposed the District People's Committee to perform well planning and planning management; direct People's Committees of communes to complete the adjustment and supplementation of the general planning of commune construction by 2030 to soon put them into practice in order to ensure the planning and be suitable to the practical conditions of local socio-economic development.
Dau Tieng district strives to have 2 more communes (Minh Thanh and An Lap) recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting advanced NRC standards, bringing the total number of communes up to 11/11 communes; strive to have 1-3 communes recognized as meeting the standard of model NRC areas; The district is recognized as meeting advanced NRC standards approved by the District Party Resolution 2020-2025 and Resolution of the District People's Council on the five-year socio-economic development and national defense and security plan (2021-2025).
