Dau Tieng district’s People’s Committee yesterday held a delegation to visit and present gifts to the local elderly people aged at 90 and above on the occasion of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Elderly (June 6, 1941-June 6, 2017).
In the visiting places, the local leaders extended best regards to the elderly while encouraging them to further propagandize and mobilize their descendants to well obey the Party and State’s policies and laws.
On this occasion, 41 gifts worth VND800,000 each were presented to 90-year-old elderly people in the district.
*Leaders of Phu Giao district have just organized many delegations to visit and offer gifts to the local elderly people.
Particularly, these delegations visited, congratulated 4 centenarians and 34 elderly people aged at 90 on their longevity while giving them gifts worth VND800,000 each.
The district has also instructed communes and Phuoc Vinh township to organize get-togethers for elderly people under 90 and give them gifts, which is based on the real financial situation of each locality.
