Dau Tieng district, on August 7, held a conference to review the 15-year implementation of the “Paying debt of gratitude” work and award the title of “Vietnamese heroic mother” to mothers.
Over the past time, the district well realized the “Paying debt of gratitude” work and received an enthusiastic response from people from all strata. The district paid VND194.5mln for revolutionary contributors, dealt with 4,372 policy documents; built 390 gratitude houses worth more than VND8.2bln, upgraded 339 others with a total expense of VND7.15bln; mobilized organizations and individuals to maintain 4 Vietnamese heroic mothers and provided 3 seriously wounded soldiers with the monthly allowance of VND300,000 per person over the past 15 years.
The district also collected and brought 141 sets of martyrs’ remains to the local martyrs’ cemetery. Thanks to the support of authorities at all levels, policy beneficiary families across the district constantly rose up in economic development. So far, the district has had no more poor policy beneficiary families.
On this occasion, the conference awarded the title of “Vietnam heroic mothers” to 3 mothers. The title was also posthumously awarded to 25 mothers.
