Early June 30, Dau Tieng district’s Red Cross Society forwarded a conference honoring exemplary role-models in the 2010 and 2015 period.
The district’s Red Cross Society and its affiliates over the past five years admitted additional 4,139 members, bringing their total number of members so far to 10,414. They also teamed up with religious organizations, donors and Volunteers’ Clubs to provide 14 tons of rice worth VND180mln as relief for needy people, present 760 gifts worth VND190mln to blind people in the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang, support VND134mln for Japan’s Tsunami-hit people; joined hand with Cho Ray hospital-based Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize blood donation stages with 4,575 units of blood given with a total value of nearly VND2bln…
On this occasion, 34 outstanding collectives and individuals in the emulation movement of the district’s Red Cross Society between 2010 and 2015 were also awarded the certificates of merit of the district’s People’s Committee and Red Cross Society.
