The district’s total production value in 2014 was estimated at VND2.339trillion, up 11.10% compared the corresponding period last year or 100.01% of the yearly plan. Of these, agricultural production value reached VND844.85bln, up 7.53% against last year’s same period or 101.93% of the yearly plan. Trade-services value achieved VND778.981bln, up 10% compared to the corresponding period last year or 99.55% of the yearly plan. Industry and construction gained VND711.203bln, up 17% over last year’s same period or 98.32% of the yearly plan.
The district also effectively implemented the national target program on new rural construction. So far, Thanh An commune has well maintained 19 criteria of the new rural construction program. Dinh Hiep, Dinh Thanh, Long Tan communes have basically met 19 criteria of the program; Long Hoa, Minh Hoa, Thanh Tuyen communes with 16 criteria; An Lap, Dinh An communes with 14 criteria; Minh Tan commune with 13 criteria; Minh Thanh commune with 12 criteria.
Regarding basic construction, the district started construction of 24 works and put 25 others into operation with total volume implemented estimated at VND171.461bln or 110.2% of the yearly plan.
In 2015, the district will strive to reach a 12% growth in production value.
