The Standing Board assigned the CPV staff of Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee and leaders of Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee to implement as per the regulations.

Urban area of Tan Uyen town
As Tan Uyen and Ben Cat town are officially cities under a province, Binh Duong would have totally 5 cities including the 3 existing cities of Thu Dau Mot (approved in 2012), Di An and Thuan An (both approved in 2020).
Urban area of Ben Cat town
The recognition of Tan Uyen and Ben Cat towns as cities directly under the province will be the foundation and a cornerstone stone for these two cities to meet the criteria and be recognized as type 2 urban centers in 2021-2030, making an important contribution to Binh Duong province in the process of carrying out urban upgrade in accordance with the National Urban Development Program roadmap and the provincial Urban Development Program to fulfill the goal of "Urban Development of Binh Duong towards civilization, prosperity and beauty as well as improving the quality of life of the people.”
