In the international integration process, students of countries have many opportunities to interact, share experiences, and learn about many different cultures. With these purposes, Binh Duong University has established friendly relations with many universities in the region and the world, including South Korea Youngsan University. This summer, the two university students had the opportunity to meet, exchange and perform many significant social projects.
Arriving at Binh Duong province, Youngsan University’s delegation had 6 teachers and 30 students with the plan to coordinate with Binh Duong University to carry out many social projects. These were building charity house for a poor household in Tan Thanh commune (North Tan Uyen district) and building friendship road for Tan Thanh primary school. Total value of the two project was VND120 million, Youngsan University sponsored building materials, Binh Duong University performed the construction.

Students and faculty of Youngsan University and Binh Duong University handed over the compassionate house to Mr. Dang Van Hien’s family.
Doing good things must come from the heart. So were teachers and students of Youngsan University. Coming from afar, they brought warmth to poor people and rural pupils in Binh Duong province. They not only contributed their money but also directly painted the house for the family of Mr. Dang Van Hien. As handing the house, teachers and students also buy furniture and essential items for the family.
Students also joined hands directly to construct the path to Tan Thanh primary school. Rector Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet said, the schoolyard was lower than road surface, thus it had been so muddy when it rained. Now the road and schoolyard are renovated so that pupils can go to school easily.
Furthermore, Youngsan University’s delegation organized many games and activities for Tan Thanh primary school pupils to learn more about Korean culture. Pupil Vu Nguyen Tam Thi said: “Korean sisters and brothers are so friendly and brought us relaxing, exciting moments. Especially, the new path to school will make our schoolyard cleaner during this rainy season”.
Mr. Choi Yang-won, Head of Student Affairs of Youngsan University said, every year, the university organized for students to go to countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. We want to be a linkage for the two countries’ citizenship to learn more about culture. Korea has strong technology development, so students rarely have chances to participate in social activities. These activities were also to help students to feel the joy as bringing happiness to others.
Binh Duong University and Youngsan University are sworn brothers establishing cooperation in education field. In recent years, the two universities have founded many cooperation programs, for example, exchange of students, lecturers, graduate students… Binh Duong University established Korean Language Center, then renamed as Vietnam – Korea Language Education Institute to provide human resources that are proficient in Korean language for Korean companies in Binh Duong. The institute teaches Korean and Vietnamese, meeting the needs of learning, cultural exchange and language of the two countries.
