*Workers in Binh Duong commemorate Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong
On July 25, the funeral of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, was solemnly held with state funeral protocols and the respect-paying ceremony starting from 7:00 am at the National Funeral Hall at No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street in Hanoi, the Reunification Palace in Ho Chi Minh city and his hometown – Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi.

A delegation of Binh Duong province’s leaders, led by comrade Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, along with comrades Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee, paid their respects to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the Reunification Hall in Ho Chi Minh city. The respect-paying ceremony was also attended by comrades from provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of provincial departments, agencies, the Office of provincial Party Committee, the Office of provincial People's Committee, armed forces, political and social organizations of the province, and leaders from districts and cities in the province.
At the respect-paying ceremony, in a solemn atmosphere, comrade Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, along with the provincial delegation, offered flowers and incense in memory of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. With mourning and profound gratitude, comrade Nguyen Van Loi and the provincial delegation observed a moment of silence to commemorate Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, a leader who made significant and outstanding contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese nation.
*To express their feelings and respects for the significant contributions of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, on the morning of July 25, Ben Cat city’s Labor Union coordinated with local units and businesses to hold a moment of silence in memory of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, thousands of workers and civil servants were informed of the significant contributions of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the Party, the State and the people, particularly to the working class and the Trade Union of Vietnam.
Attending the moment of silence with over 600 workers at Vinh Nghia Shoe Co., Ltd., in Ben Cat city’s Hoa Loi ward, Le Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of Ben Cat city’s Labor Union shared: “During his lifetime, regardless of his position, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong always cared for and had a special affection for the trade union and workers. This was evidenced by the fact that in all three terms of the Vietnam Trade Union Congress, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong took the time to attend, encourage, and direct. The image of the General Secretary shaking hands and warmly encouraging workers during the "Tet reunion” program organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has become familiar and deeply ingrained in the minds of the labor force.
Ong Thuy Hoang Mai, Vice Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union stated: “In order to be worthy of the efforts and affection of the Party General Secretary for the trade union and workers, provincial Labor Union will further strive and direct all-level trade unions in the province to better care for the lives of trade unionists members and workers, striving to excellently complete all activities in labor and production".
*On the same morning, the trade union local of Bowker Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Dong An 1 Industrial Park in Thuan An city coordinated with the company's directorate to hold a moment of silence in memory of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
In a solemn atmosphere, the company's directorate and office staff gathered in front of the company’s premise to perform the moment of silence. In the company's five workshops, over 4,700 workers paused all their tasks to observe a moment of silence in memory of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Notably, many foreigners, including members of the company’s directorate, employees as well as partners and clients, also participated in the moment of silence.
Nguyen Quang Huy, Chairman of Bowker Vietnam Co., Ltd.’s trade union local stated: "In response to the deep respect of the Vietnamese people for Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Executive Board of the company’s trade union asked for the company's directorate to organize the commemoration event. The Party General Secretary is a shining example, a leader who devoted wholeheartedly to the country and the people. He is also a model of the simple leadership style, close to the people and workers, always prioritizing the interests of the people...".
Especially, on the morning of July 25, all office staff at the company wore black attire to work.
