Representatives from Tan Uyen City reported on the current situation regarding food safety. They highlighted that food safety initiatives have been effectively implemented. Food Safety Steering Committees at all levels have been promptly strengthened and are closely coordinating food safety activities. Efforts to promote food safety awareness have been enhanced, utilizing various diverse and engaging formats from the city down to grassroots levels. Food safety staff across all levels and sectors receive regular training to improve their professional qualifications. Inspections focused on food safety are conducted regularly—monthly, quarterly, and on an unscheduled basis, in accordance with established regulations.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Khuong Anh Tuan noted that the delegates contributed ideas and provided valuable information with great enthusiasm. The working group will document and synthesize these contributions to propose adjustments to the content of the Draft Law on Food Safety Amendment in the near future.
