The 12th Southeastern festival of “Youths follow Uncle Ho’s teachings” 2015 was just held at Binh Phuoc province. Binh Duong had 25 typical youths honored at the festival. They are outstanding youths, well completing tasks, deserving youths of Ho Chi Minh generation.
Vu Truong Son, member of the provincial Fire Fighting and Prevention Police Department’s youth union:
Learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples, Son always completes his tasks and youth movements. In addition, Son has many initiatives, especially administration procedure reform of fire prevention and fighting.
As for the youth union work, he works with district, town youth unions to hold many activities for community. Typically, significant activities include mobilization work at Dinh Thanh commune of Dau Tieng district, Phuoc Sang commune of Phu Giao district and Vinh Tan commune of Tan Uyen town; free health check-up and treatment, gift granting to needy kids, youth work and so on.
Over the past years, he has been honored for many times for his outstanding achievements in youth movements. He said “Titles of emulation and recommendation are motivation helping me continue to well complete all tasks”.
Pham Chien Thang, vice secretary of Di An town Youth Union:
In the past year, Thang and members of Di An town Youth Union executive board gave many activities of taking care of young workers. Implementing projects of poverty reduction for young workers, he mobilized the provincial society for young entrepreneurs and Vietcombank Song Than to support expense of building 3 charity houses to needy youths at Dong Hoa, Tan Dong Hiep and Binh An wards.
Through 3 mobilizations and 2 programs, Thang concretized contents into activities such as “Youth live usefully”, “Youths for social welfare and environmental protection”, program of “When the homeland needs”, “Building, developing unions, expanding unity and gathering youths” and more.
In addition, Thang and collectives gain high efficiency in many good models such as “My family studies and follows Uncle Ho’s teachings”, honoring excellent students and more. Thang shared “I try my best to contribute to collectives’ achievements”.
Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, vice secretary of Binh Duong University youth union:
Khanh’s daily work is to compose relevant documents relating to grassroot youth union activity, training documents for leaguers, helping the university youth union win quality in youth union operation. Moreover, he positively mobilizes and disseminates youth union’s activities to students as well as arrives in remote areas such as Ca Mau, Dong Thap to steer campaigns, helping develop voluntary activities of the university student union.
Regarding studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples, he shared “I love Uncle Ho’s simple lifestyle and follow his teachings. In the coming time, I will continue to improve my knowledge to cater well for the university’s youth union activity”.
