On September 8, 2016, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1755/QD-TTg approving the strategy for developing Vietnam's cultural industries until 2020 and envisioning it to 2030.

The 2023 Learning and Play Festival held in Binh Duong is one of the promising activities to help promote cultural exchange and develop the iconic character industry - an emerging industry in Vietnam.
To develop the cultural industry, in recent years, Binh Duong has carefully researched the potentials and advantages to choose appropriate development fields. Among the 12 areas outlined in the Strategy for developing cultural industries in Vietnam, Binh Duong possesses significant development potential in cultural tourism, handicrafts, advertising, performing arts, and cinema. Grasping and exploiting the above potentials and strengths, Binh Duong has been building and developing the cultural industry through products such as: cultural tourism, advertising, cinema, performing arts... With the current situation, it can be said that cultural industry development is not only a goal and driving force for economic development, but also the cultural industry has been recognized as a production industry and a cultural production force, capable of creating good spiritual products for society, while also bringing economic efficiency, contributing to ensuring sustainable development.
Within the program of Vietnam Advertising Festival 2024, a workshop titled "Promoting the development of international trade and cultural industry in Binh Duong" was held in Binh Duong recently. The delegates, who are experts, scientists, domestic and foreign organizations, and businesses, shared practical experiences, discussed and proposed solutions to promote the development of international trade and cultural industry in Binh Duong province. This is a valuable experience for Binh Duong to orient the development of the cultural industry in the coming time.
Recently, during a meeting, exchange, and promotion of investment in the culture and technology industry with the National Center for International Cultural Trade (Guangzhou, China), delegates representing Guangzhou businesses highly appreciated the potential for cultural industry development of Binh Duong. In addition, delegates expressed their desire to cooperate and make investment in Binh Duong to meet the people's increasing need for cultural enjoyment.
Le Van Thai, Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that Binh Duong has been building and developing the cultural industry through products, such as: cultural tourism, advertising, cinema, performing arts... The province is strongly committed to enhancing the appeal for foreign investment in this sector. Furthermore, there are plans to establish a collaborative partnership involving Becamex IDC Corporation, the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and investors from Guangzhou. This collaboration aims to drive the development of culture and technology in the upcoming period.
According to Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, Director of the World Trade Center Binh Duong (WTC Binh Duong), when talking about culture, we should consider both content and production. Therefore, the province is considering attracting developing manufacturing industries in Binh Duong. Over the past three years, Binh Duong has collaborated with partners from Korea and organized many events related to the content creation industry. In the near future, as part of the province's new planning, the content creation industry will closely integrate with new technologies and information technology to drive the development of several industries. There are 12 sub-sectors within the cultural industry. Among them, the advertising industry has been developing in recent years, while the handicraft industry is a traditional industry of Binh Duong. Binh Duong is very confident in its foundations for development.
