Thanks to the attention and support of the local administration, mass organizations at all levels, Di An city-based Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) branch in 2020 effectively implemented many credit programs, despite facing difficulties from Covid-19 pandemic.

Di An city’s VBSP branch well realizes credit policies for the poor
Accordingly, the branch disbursed more than VND140billion in loan for 2,500 households, including 790 poor, near-poor households and those just escaping poverty, to develop production models; helped more than 1,500 rural laborers get loans for job generation, gave school fee support for 72 pupils, students with difficult circumstances; supported loans for 7 households to buy social houses, build or upgrade their houses. The branch also provided 31 small-sized enterprises with loans for production-business.
The branch’s loans helped the local poor people develop production-business, generate jobs and improve their lives, contributing to reducing the rate of the local poor households, ensuring the local social welfare in the coming time.
Truong Tien Sy, Director of Di An city’s VBSP branch said that thanks to having good coordination with the communal transaction model, loan and saving groups, the branch well fulfilled the set tasks in 2020…
Also according to him, 100% of the local poor people and policy beneficiaries in need of loans and with valid conditions will be got loans from social policy credit and provided with VBSP services favorably in 2021. The branch will ensure quick disbursement for loans with the outstanding loans at the highest level within its capacity…
