On April 28, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Di An City solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan, Standing Member, Head of the Provincial Party Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Di An City Party Committee; Colonel Nguyen Hoang Minh, Deputy Director of Department of Militia and Self-Defense Forces, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
At the ceremony, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh read a speech reviewing the heroic history of the army and people in the resistance war against America to save the country. After 50 years of liberating the South and unifying the country, the Party Committee, government, citizens, and business community in Di An City have overcome numerous challenges. They have successfully completed tasks across various fields, contributing to the city’s growth into a more modern and civilized place. The lives of the people have continuously improved, and these efforts have made significant contributions to the overall achievements of the province.
At the ceremony, authorized by the President and Prime Minister, leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee awarded the Third-Class Labor Medals of the President to 2 individuals and awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to 10 individuals. Authorized by Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Di An City Party Committee awarded the 30 to 65-year Party seniority badge to 18 party members of Di An City Party Committee. Di An City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 25 collectives and 25 individuals for their outstanding achievements in 10 years of implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
