Early August 19, a delegation of provincial leaders, headed by provincial People’s Committee Chairman Tran Van Nam had a working session with leaders of Di An town about the local socio-economic performance, national defence-security in the first half of 2015, orientations and tasks for the rest of the year.
Over the past 6 months, the town’s economy continued reaching a stable growth. The town also well realized socio-cultural affairs with social welfare ensured; attached special importance to administrative procedure reform, corruption-wastefulness prevention and maintained social order and security.
The town’s 6-month industrial production value was estimated at more than VND31trillion, or 50.94% of the yearly plan, up 16.41% compared to last year’s corresponding period. The town’s total retail sales of goods and services achieved more than VND14.52trillion or 51.35% of the yearly plan, up 30.1% against last year’s same period.
Concluding the working session, Mr.Nam emphasized: “Di An town is a fast-growing locality, but the local order and security is still very complicated. In the coming time, the town needs to further maintain social order and security, drastically take measures on socio-economic development in the remaining 6 months of the year, proactively give provincial People’s Committee advice in dealing with queries regarding urban and land management; speed up site clearance for the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway project…”.
