Di An town’s People’s Committee has just held a conference to partially sum up the Project on “Uniting and gathering young workers” in the 2011 and 2015 period.
The total expenditure for the implementation of the project over the past three years reached more than VND4bln. The local organizing board of the project set up and maintained 109 youth sub-unions with more than 4,400 members; established 15 Youth Unions branches for alien youth with 431 members; organized training courses for those who are in charge of the project at grassroots level; set up a support fund of more than VND150mln for Youth Union members and young workers with difficult circumstances; coordinated with relevant agencies to provide free medical check-ups, buy goods at stabilized price…for more than 15,000 young workers; maintained 60 classes on universalization of IT education for young workers; recommended 67 outstanding Youth Union members to the Party for consideration and admission…
On this occasion, the organizing board awarded the certificates of merit of Chairman of provincial People’s Committee to 4 outstanding collectives and individuals in the project. 20 other collectives and individuals also received the certificates of merit of Chairman of Di An town’s People’s Committee.
